finally, an f-word that won't make your mum blush
f◼️gmania is what happens when you take a platform you love, respect the rules, and build something bold around it anyway.
It’s a wink, not a workaround. A redaction, not a rebellion.
We didn’t plan to build a brand around a redacted word. We wanted to shout about Figma from the rooftops - but turns out, you’re not allowed to use “Figma” (or even just “Fig”) in a brand name or domain*. It sparked something.
We leaned in. Every time we typed the word, we imagined it getting black-boxed. What started as a workaround became a signature. The f◼️g word. The black boxes. The bleeped-out brilliance. We started calling it “the f-word.” It became a bit of a running joke - and then a whole vibe.
It also happens to reflect what this course is about: clarity, confidence, a little bit of creative mischief. Yes, it’s all about Figma. No, we’re not affiliated. Yes, you’ll actually enjoy the process.
