The f◼️gmania way
f◼️gmania isn’t just a workshop. It’s a celebration of learning out loud - with real people, in real-time, making real things.
I’m Clementine – a designer and educator with two decades of experience helping people get confident with design. I’ve worked with everyone from wide-eyed beginners to product teams at Google, H&M, IKEA and NatWest, across three-hour workshops to three-month bootcamps, and everything in between. (I also built and ran the UX MA at Falmouth – a wild ride, let’s leave it at that.)
By day, I’m a Principal Product Designer at a London consultancy, working at the sharp end of tech on complex, fast-moving products. That real-world grounding shapes everything I teach – because good design learning shouldn’t drift too far from the work itself.
A decade ago I started out teaching in person, where the energy was electric and the learning felt alive. After the pandemic nudged everything online, I realised how much I missed those real, in-the-room moments – the buzz, the breakthroughs, the spontaneous “ohhh I get it now” kind of magic. But I also saw what online could do when it was done right: structured, supportive, and genuinely accessible.
So I set out to combine the best of both. f◼️gmania is my way of rebuilding that kind of learning – the collaborative, fast-paced, uplifting kind. The kind that sends you out there with real skills and the confidence to use them – wherever you’re learning from.
f◼️gmania began with a simple goal: help people learn Figma in a way that’s clear, practical and enjoyable.
Too many people start with good intentions - only to get lost in tutorials, confused by tools, or held back by imposter syndrome. I wanted to change that.
Why Figma? Because it’s the most collaborative, intuitive design tool out there - and when you learn it properly, it unlocks the kind of momentum most beginners never get to feel. No clunky setup, no solo silos. Just fast, flexible making.
So I created something different: a class that gets you building real things from the start. Not a lecture. Not a YouTube spiral. A guided, hands-on learning experience designed for people who learn best by doing.
Because design isn’t about watching from the sidelines. It’s about thinking, making, testing, and growing. And it’s better when you do it together.
Brains On. Hands Dirty. Make it, don’t just watch it.
Design is a mindset. We teach the why, not just the how.
Confidence through doing. Progress starts with trying.
Creativity needs safety. Curiosity is encouraged, mistakes are part of the process.
Energy matters. When the room is buzzing, ideas click faster.
Live class. Big learning. Everyone matters. More questions, more feedback.
Progress over polish. We’re not aiming for perfect. We’re aiming for better.
finally, an f-word that'll make you feel unstoppable
